I have been wanting to write a long-form guide to help people find their way into the film and TV industry for a while now. As I was compiling all the different topics and stories I wanted to include, it was getting increasingly overwhelming but here we are!
I wrote an eBook!
I want to be super transparent and tell you exactly what to expect from this book. It is $50 and I know a lot of people will scoff at that but I truly believe there is more than $50 worth of value in this book.
There are 9 Chapters in the book and I cover topics like what it is like to be an assistant and how to know which type of assistant position will get you towards your end goal. I write about where to start looking for work and what you need to do before you move to LA to ensure that you are able to be successful. I go over how to build a resume and interview tips. I also give you my personal stories working on commercials, reality TV shows, game shows, talk shows, and Marvel projects. You also get a handful of worksheets and actionable tasks to get you to accomplish your goals. I also set you up with a direct line to contact me and since you bought the book, I’ll be there to guide you and also refer work to you. You’ll be able to join a Facebook group with others who have also bought the book and can use each other for help, answer questions, share work opportunities, etc.
A lot of what I share on YouTube and this blog is about being a Production Assistant but I haven’t ever gone through the exact things you can do to get a job in film and TV. I always thought it was something you could figure out on your own, and many people have, but it is very difficult to do. If you know nothing about the industry, do not live in Los Angeles, have no connections, etc. it can be an incredibly difficult journey to start, so I’m here to guide you!
I spent several weeks creating this book to make sure it was perfect. It's not your typical 10-20 page ebook either. It is 56-pages long and there's a lot to gain from it.
