A Complete Guide on How to Break into the Film & TV Industry
I have been wanting to write a long-form guide to help people find their way into the film and TV industry for a while now. As I was compiling all the different topics and stories I wanted to include, it was getting increasingly overwhelming but here we are!
I wrote an eBook!
I want to be super transparent and tell you exactly what to expect from this book. It is $50 and I know a lot of people will scoff at that but I truly believe there is more than $50 worth of value in this book.
There are 9 Chapters in the book and I cover topics like what it is like to be an assistant and how to know which type of assistant position will get you towards your end goal. I write about where to start looking for work and what you need to do before you move to LA to ensure that you are able to be successful. I go over how to build a resume and interview tips. I also give you my personal stories working on commercials, reality TV shows, game shows, talk shows, and Marvel projects. You also get a handful of worksheets and actionable tasks to get you to accomplish your goals. I also set you up with a direct line to contact me and since you bought the book, I’ll be there to guide you and also refer work to you. You’ll be able to join a Facebook group with others who have also bought the book and can use each other for help, answer questions, share work opportunities, etc.
A lot of what I share on YouTube and this blog is about being a Production Assistant but I haven’t ever gone through the exact things you can do to get a job in film and TV. I always thought it was something you could figure out on your own, and many people have, but it is very difficult to do. If you know nothing about the industry, do not live in Los Angeles, have no connections, etc. it can be an incredibly difficult journey to start, so I’m here to guide you!
I spent several weeks creating this book to make sure it was perfect. It's not your typical 10-20 page ebook either. It is 56-pages long and there's a lot to gain from it.
Here's What's Inside -
How to Achieve Your Goals
You'll learn all about my background and how I achieved my goals, and the lessons I learned when I struggled to do so. I guide you to identify and pursue your goals and you get a worksheet to plan out your next steps.

You will read all about the ups and downs of being an assistant from my own stories to the stories of others. I discuss job duties, treatment, payment, what living in LA is like, and more.
What To Do Before Your Move to LA
There's an entire chapter of tangible actions to take before you move to LA, including two worksheets to help you get those things done. This is crucial to make sure you are prepared and set up for success in your first few months in Hollywood.

Building Your Resume
In this section, you'll learn the top two mistakes in assistant resumes and how to avoid them. You'll also read about each section of an assistant resume and how to write them to make you stand out. You get information on top skills employers look for in assistants and what to do if you do not have film and TV experience. You also get a special discount for my resume services!
You will find out what to expect for your interviews and how to nail them. I also share lessons I've learned from successful and failed interviews from being interviewed to being on the other end of the interview. You will read all about what employers look for when hiring an assistant and how to best prepare.
I tell you a lot of stories so you get a full understanding of the industry and be better prepared to get started. Many of these stories I have not discussed before on my YouTube channel or blog. I also share my personal view of the mindset you should have when applying for work and going through the process. This is the “spiritual” part of the book. I discuss things like the law of correspondence, dealing with setbacks, and manifestation.
A Direct Line to Me & Others Who Buy The Book
From the beginning, I give you my email to contact me directly. I will prioritize responding to your questions and will also become part of your network. You will also gain a network of assistants on a secret Facebook Group where you can ask more questions, see special job posts, and learn from one another.
And don’t worry, if you don’t buy the book I’ll still be posting on YouTube and TikTok every so often to share more of my journey and other tips. But this book is for people who want a complete guide and are ready to take the next steps to get started in their career in entertainment.
